Emerson has announced the launch of the GO Real-Time Secure tracker. This novelty combines GPS tracking technology with a CTPAT (Customs and Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) steel locking bolt that provides greater security against theft of high-value cargo transported by road or sea. Connected to the locking mechanism on the outside of a container, GO Real-Time Secure will indicate if container doors have been forced open or if shipments have been diverted from their intended course.
“Cargo theft is a significant and growing global problem,” says Frank Landwehr, vice president and general manager of Emerson Cargo Solutions. “This latest innovation from Emerson was developed to improve supply chain security, reduce financial loss caused by stolen cargo, and assist law enforcement in the recovery of high-value items.”
The GO Real-Time Secure tracker is now available. Users can choose to use the device independently by leveraging Oversight's online dashboard, or the Oversight mobile app to help track and monitor shipments during freight transportation. Additionally, Emerson offers managed services for customers who want a third party to monitor alerts in real time. Live demos will take place at the PMA Fresh Summit 2018, at Booth #851.
