Fruit transport curiosities: Bananas also have a pulse.

A smartwatch can be used to measure sports performance, count steps, simply see the time, or measure heart rate. Of course, it was only a matter of time before someone tested the smartwatch's heart rate monitor on more than just people. A Chinese user has discovered that not only people and animals have hearts, but also coffee cups, toilet paper rolls and bananas.

How can this be? Smartwatches do not record heart rate via wrist pulse, but instead emit a beam of green light onto the user's wrist. This means that all objects that reflect this light have a “beat.”
